This was already noticed in one of the official tutorial videos so I knew to expect this. An airport is an aerodrome with extended facilities, mostly for commercial air transport. Still, in the hands of someone who can actually remember to fuel planes, Airports could be a lot of fun. Planes occasionally take off vertically from the end of the runway. Ive tried everything, including demolishing the entire expansion I built, as well as demolishing. Planes still spawn at the stands and take off, but no passenger planes are landing anymore. Strangely, cargo planes still land just fine. Instead of just finding themselves knee deep in raw sewage, as they would on the ground, our passengers would have the additional problem of plummeting like a rock. From that point onward, passenger planes would no longer land at my airport, or if they do, very sparingly. Sounds like a great idea, right? In theory, yes, though given how much our own Cities: Skylines citizens have suffered from our incompetence we’re not sure we should be put in charge of an airport. It also comes alongside a free update for the base game which expands some substantial city customisation options. It was nice and flat and they worked fine being placed side by side there.Cities: Skylines’ Airports DLC will, as the name suggests, let you create your own airports in the city-building game. It lets you build your own airports within your cities, placing down terminals, taxi lanes, customising the plane liveries and so on. in smaller cities where there were limited flights from the local airport. I marked the two that I moved, which got things working. It isn't ideal, but it will be the fastest way to get things running again. At least my advice would be to do that and use TMPE to remove the stuck planes (either with Clear traffic or by seleting the individual planes and using the little red X button). Perhaps spacing them out a bit more would also do the trick. Usually that doesn't happen without mods, and I can't really explain why it happens here, but testing your city a bit I found that removing the two airports having problems and moving them elsewhere in your city meant no more circling planes. When those connections get weird, this sort of thing happens. Basically when you place an airport, it makes an invisible connection to the (also invisible) plane paths that run over the map. I think maybe having all 4 so close is causing the problem. Good news is it looks like it's just 2 of the airports having problems.
